Fonte Bertusi

Fonte Bertusi is located in a secluded and charming valley already known in medieval age as it was crossed by the Via Francigena, the main road that connected Rome and the Christianity to Northern Europe.

Our farmhouse, 2 km from Pienza, is situated in the "Parco Artistico Naturale e Culturale della Val d'Orcia", which includes one of the most characteristic and renowned area in the province of Siena.

The Val d'Orcia Naturalistic, Artistic and Cultural Park comprises the townships of Pienza, Montalcino, San Quirico d'Orcia, Radicofani and Castiglion d'Orcia. It was created in order to protect not only plants, animals and art but also the traditions and style of life of the people here; a culture that still today produces natural and healthy food and one that offers a special kind of hospitality, as honest and courteous as the old Tuscan farmers themselves.
